Alexis F. Sekongo

Alexis Sekongo is a cultural advocate and broadcast journalist with a strong commitment to cultural preservation. He founded and directs Le Balafon Du Nord, an organization dedicated to strengthening African heritage and supporting regional artists.
He also directs Le Festival International du Senang, an international gathering that draws thousands of participants from neighbouring West African nations including Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Guinea, and which facilitates cultural exchange among communities sharing similar traditions. The Minister of Culture recognized his contributions by conferring the title of Commissaire Général du Senang.
In August 2019, the President of Côte d’Ivoire awarded him the Outstanding Achievement Award as the best promoter of African integration, acknowledging his efforts and his impact on the community. His warmth, professional commitment and deep understanding of Senufo cultural traditions have established him as a respected public figure and an effective communicator.
